His name is Jack. Jack Bauer.

The most amazing character brought to me through rumors, news casts, magazines, and actually blogs. It is a shame, that after so many years - I started watching 24- Jack Bauer the most amazing government agent on the face of tv shows in 2011. I first heard of the show during my daily readings of Redacted. He was one of my fave bloggers for years and every now and then he would talk about the incomparable Jack Bauer. He would usually mention things like "he's a bad ass" "he is amazing" "an american here". A really funny post from 2007 titled: Bigger American Hero: Jack Bauer or Martin Luther King Jr.

Anyways, it is March of 2012 - and I am on season 6. I just finished season 5 - and found myself compelled to write about this awesome fictional character - he really is a bad ass - a true patriot lol. I really cried during season five - not because its sentimental - but because I am a female and I am currently umm... emotional... but the beyondddddddddddd dramatic actions that occur (no spoliers here!) are rather beyoooooooond ridiculous. I say beyooooooooooooond because everything that you could possibly imagine happening happens but twice what you thought would happen. I can imagine the writers and directors of the show saying to each other " this has to be a bit much. That's the whole point the viewers are not going to believe we would take it there!" I know I was like, what the fuck are you serioussssssssssss!!!
You need to watch it- i just finished episode 1 of season 6... ridiculousnesssssssss.

Wow..

Soooooo, I can't believe that I just did what I did?!!
I was sitting here in my house, like at 2AM when I went to Google documents and just started writing!! I cant believe this, I am actually trying to write a book!!
Of all things, a really funny book about how I got turned into a vampire. Its really funny so far - I have read it over and over like 15 times. I don't even know what happened, but like 30 minutes later I had all these notes/pages of all these ideas and words and stories about how in a fucked up way my character turned into a vampire. I still don't want to mess with all the details on here, cause duhhh someone will steal my hilarious idea, but I'm wondering where my character will go and how I will make it a full blown novel.

Ok, I have had this thing forever that I've always wanted to write a book. I never knew if to like make it biographical or a memoir, then again who wants to always read about teenage angst right? I know there's people like me that love to delve into the meanings of every aspect of my teenage years, so I twisted it with vampire shit and my character is in her thirties. I'm using real names so far, but I should change them...
Then again, I'm going to make her from here, Miami and I hope to entice people with it since there's going to be real fucking locations and hot spots and old clubs and places I used to do crazy shit it hahaaha. I would love to get it published and printed and see what other people think.
I am really getting ahead of myself here, but maybe one day I will have a web-site with a real fan base following my every thought like Stephanie Meyer does. Who knows, maybe someone is crazy enough to make it into a movie, Its really quite funny!! Omg who would I want to play me? She has to be short like me, sassy like me, possibly latina....yeah, or atleast latina looking because - I wouldn't want a white girl playing me.....hmmm I am getting ahead of myself. Maybe I stop writing this when I get a job...
By the way, I still havent been able to get hired. I say hired because I have been applying to every paralegal / legal / assistant/receptionist / law firms/.
I went to my library and got PAralegal Careers for dummies....and I am going over it now too. I dont know how much longer my husband is going to support this dream but we will see soon because I really need some chedddaaaa. Anyways, it's really late ... but I wanted to share my news..

When to Know You're Not as Young as You Thought You Were...

So, you are probably asking yourself.... "What does a picture of a Torn Meniscus and a picture of the best booty dancing group Two Live Crew have to do with each other?"

Well, I can tell you that when you booty dance at 27 like if you were 18 this is the injury you get directly from it. That's right folks. I got a torn meniscus because I was booty dancing my ass off. Embarrassing? Hell yeah! Try telling the doctor why your knee is in such pain...then tell the lab tech doing the MRI how you received your injury. (I totally lied to her - cause the doctor was bad enough) Then, try telling your parents why your knee is jacked up, then try telling your mother in law while she's looking at you with judging laser eyes.

It's just one of my good luck charms I have received in the last three months. Ever since I left my job I haven't finished any of the projects I set for myself, well, except for the studying the LSAT. Let's see.....not working, (a good and bad - depends how you look at it) not making my own money - which means noooo shopppiinnggg!!!, gained weight from quitting smoking...(its like 4 lbs but its there!), Air Conditioner broke upstairs and we were sleeping with these little fans my mother in law lent us...., AC repair man came - charged $540.00, had to borrow that money cause I'm not working...., my knee got jacked up after I broke it down at a toga party, I most likely need surgery on my knee from this damn tear, and currently I am being used as my brothers babysitter for his son slash taxi driver.

This sucks. I am supposed to start looking for work now. I am currently looking at different positions online. I am basically applying to anything. I need some money and some benefits. Hmmm... lets see how that goes this week. Consider this Tuesday as Week 1 in the job application process. And I will do updates at the end of the week.

I really missed the blog world. Hope you missed me too. I have noticed that all the people I used to read have either stopped completely or atleast left a goodbye note that they will be discontinuing their blogs. I know I've been on and off, but atleast I have stuck it out a bit.

A nice response to a movie I love....and my goals are written...

Eat Pray Love is a phenomenal film - not because of the actors or the scenes, but because of what it represents.
A human being goes through so many different emotions and difficulties through their life time. How are we built to carry all these burdens? The mind can only be so strong. Some people carry these burdens and place them to the side because the thought of confronting them is too much to bear...I for one am used to setting it aside, and I pay for it. Because when the weight is too heavy I end up falling apart.

I am at a point in my life where I am at a crossroads. Not with my personal life, but just my career - what will I do with my degree? What is it really worth now? Why did I waste my time working at that shitty bank job that got me NOWHERE? Why am I still fearing the possibilities? Do I want to be in corporate america? Do I really want that?
Where will I go from here? Not working is being a burden.... I quit In February of this year. It's going to be 3 months now. I haven't accomplished any of my goals I had set out. Then again, I didn't write them down. A goal that isn't written down isn't real.

So here, I am, writing it down, I am going to make them a reality and stop letting my fear guide me anymore.

1 - Study diligently for the LSAT that is coming in October. (lack of funds denied my June exam)
2 - Study the GKT to become a substitute teacher to bring in some flo. Update: 5/17/11 any job will do!
3 - Guide myself to a goal that will be in the pursuit of law? Work at a lawers office?
Study to become a paralegal?
4 - Volunteer at Baptist hospital (i've always wanted to do that)
5 - Start running - jogging, exercising - taking care of my body.
6 - Finish paying my credit cards!!
7 - Enjoy the new beginnings.

SIX FEET UNDER BUT DEFINITELY NOT GONE

I cannot believe that I was not able to discover this unbelieveable series earlier...
It ended in 2005 and it ran for 5 years. It was created by Alan Ball and he is none other than the creator (on HBO) and master of bringing True Blood to life from the AMAZING Sookie Stackhouse book series.

Wow, I just finished watching the finale to Six Feet Under today and was never ever more pleased and satisfied and emotionally distraught with a shows' finale. It was incredible.
I recommend this show to anyone who wants a real dramedy and almost a reality of lives in some place in some world of a not so perfect family.

HBO never seems to fail when it comes to their amazing shows. They have a qaulity that no other tv circuit can ever mach.

Work Making You Unhappy? Join the Club.

I know, I know, I haven't been writing for some time now. But really, I haven't been up to it, until today.

I have been pretty bummed about where my career is going in this "hard economic times".
I started noticing the economy was going to shit a few years back when I realized Bush's extension on the war was only creating a greater debt in the coutry's economy.
Then, I graduated college. Received a Bachelors degree for Business Administration in Management, went on into the "real world" with my joyous sparkling enthusiasm, only to find myself getting rejected in the job market. Miami was going on downturn in jobs and I was in the middle of it. It has been two years since I received my degree. I wasn't hired at any of the company's that I really wanted and ended up at a bank job. Keeping my enthusiasm high, I figured, "This is okay, I will make the best of this and make a career out of it" " I will climb this career ladder and be very succesful"

Guess what? 6 Months later, the economy took a turn for the worse and the banking industry went to shit. Just my luck of the draw. Here I am now, two years later after becoming a teller. I am still a teller, making $10.30/hour trying to make something good out of a bad thing. But there are no job opportunities in banking.

So this brings me to job satisfaction. I do not have any. Then I ran into this article on yahoo! AMERICANS' JOB SATISFACTION FALLS TO RECORD LOW.

Yeah,,,, I am going to Jerry Maguire myself out of my job pretty soon. Just not yet.

Nurse Jackie

I keep watching this show - which it is in its very first season, and I've got to say that I love it. When I first read about Edie Falco doing such a riske show I wondered if she could pull it off. Shes is doing a good job - the only not believeable thing about her is that she scored such a hot husband, cause she is old as fuck and her hubs looks 35 the most --- shes like almost 50 now....The eyes do not lie.....

Anyways, something about her character JAckie Peyton has been plaguing my thoughts. I cannot seem to get it off my mind - and that is that she is living a double life. In this past weeks episode its beginning to get complicated juggling the two relationships shes in.

Jackie is married with two kids & and because she works so many hours at the hospital she has been carrying on a relationship with a pharmacy tech in the same hospital that she works at.

This idea of having two seperate lives with two different men is so intriguing. I have heard of men always leading double lives.

But this is so ingenius to me. If I worked in a hospital and I take off my wedding ring every day and I work the 24 to 36 hour shifts....i can totally lead two relationships. A work one and an outside one....
It just makes me really curious to know how I would be able to juggle the men. I mean in essence it would really be easy to lie to the two men about each other. I mean, it wouldnt be lying just juggling truths and remember what i said to whom. I keep thinking of how I would do it in my life right now.

Which would actually be the easiest thing ever. My husband is a police officer and he's like never home. I could easily be dating someone during those moments.....or atleast fucking somebody... not that I would ever do that... I am just being very hypothetical here.

Hmmm....this is soooo verrryyy interestinggg......

Sookie Stackhouse Series

The Sookie Stackhouse Series by Charlaine Harris is "fangtastic" (sorry, I couldn't help myself).

I first started the series after the first season of True Blood, which is the HBO tv series based on the books. I was fascinated by the tv show and I just had to have more of Sookie and Bill.

Season 2 of True Blood starts Sunday June 14, 2009.

I am anticipating the show because the books were so amazing and full of action and death and guts and sex and love and twisted drama. I really can't wait to see how the story of Bill's betrayal will be portrayed into the tv show because he was never who he really said he was. Which was a huge shocker and total disappointment. But after reading the 10th book in the series. I have an inkling that she might finally be happy with the sex god.

Not that I wouldn't like her being with Eric, who I might add I have had plenty fantasies with that handsome viking.....viking me....hmmmm anyways.

Try to catch the set either in the book form or tv show. Here goes my ops on the book series:

Its about a lonely mind reading cajun girl aged 25 meeting and falling in love with a sexy vampire Bill. She falls for him, makes him her lover, and then finds out the truth about him. That he was sent by the Queen of Louisiana to investigate and keep tabs on her.

Sookie, of course is crushed to find out that the only man she has ever loved and bed was a liar and fake. But was his love? This is a question that has been tried to be prooved time and time again through all the books. Does he love her? How much more can he say or do to show her that he only wants her?
But all these questions are things that Sookie puts on the back burner because she keeps getting mixed up in vampire, were, witch, shapeshifting, and fairy politics with and without her consent most of the time.
She is a product of the wrong place and wrong time, with the wrong someone most of the time. On top of that she simply cant seem to stray away from a friend in need either.

Along the way, she falls for two other men, another vampire the viking (and erotic) Eric Northman and the very sexy WereTiger Quinn. Although she seldom gets a chance to bang the shit out of her men, the few times she does, it is intense.

Book ten Dead And Gone, left me with a certainty that Charlaine Harris is not done with playing around with Sookie's characters. She really seems to involve herself fully to her story and love triangle that Sookie has going on. I like that she has written so many books, unlike Stephanie Meyer who quit at 4 books. Either way, the new tv show is making Charlaine gain new motivation to write in dollars and sense.

Waking up is Hard to Do.

I woke up this morning glaring at the alarm clock that was blalring next to me...the time was fuzzy cause i didnt have my glasses on and i wondered what it would be like to not go into work today. I mean, i really didnt have anything to look forward to and I was so tired from the long weekend. (It felt long because I was lucky enough not to work this saturday.)
I was actually one of the lucky ones. Then I remembered that I hadnt played the lotto and my chances to winning were zilcho.

Oh getting outta bed was a total disaster when i noticed manny was missing. "great" i thought "now i have to fish him off the sofa". There he was curled up like a baby snoring his brains out. His long linguini legs wrapped around the sofa pillows..."im gonna have to fluff those when i get back from work today" i thought.

And like a 5 year old he sleep walks behind me to get back into bed. Its now 8:25am and im curled under him. "maybe i should call in sick today, noone would miss me". Oh then i remember i dont have that luxury, theres one other teller and i cant do that to her, shes got school to go to after work. Dammit....maybe i do have to go...I get out of bed and drag my legs behind me to the shower....then i wonder if i can sleep in the shower for just 5 mins...thats quickly put to stop when i burn my skin by accident...I walk out and remember that i have to blow dry my hair...ughhh "short hair is the worst. Whos great idea was this to cut it this short!"

Big Love. Big Trouble?

Wow this weeks episode was intense. Like all family situations, when in close quarters everyone's sanity gets lost the longer they are together. And this Sunday the truth came out for everyone. Bill is trying to find his way through his family with his beliefs; Nicki's secret with her birth control came to light along with her own unpredicted crush becoming grander with the lawyer that tried to put her father in jail; Margene had naked time with Ben and she finally coped with her drunken mothers death; Ben's sexual arousal by the indescent moment is put to light; Sarah's pregnancy comes to a halt quickly after its reveal; Teeny needs a make over....and Barb is suffering for all the drama in her family.

This had been a roller coaster of a season and I cannot wait to see next Sundays episode. I was also thinking about how much of a risk taker HBO is on placing this show on a Sunday time slot. Really on the mother of all mothers of a day of religion. I really do come to appreciate the balls on the network..really bravo. I have been following this show with so much intrigue since its inception to television and it really keeps getting better and better. If you have not seen it yet I will recap it for you.

Big Love revolves itself on the complexities of religion, the main course being Mormonism. It sheds a small light on this complex religion (complex cause i dont get it, im kinda catholic) and its affect on Bill Henrickson's family. He is an outcast of sorts having been thrown out of the compound as a young boy but remained true to his upbringing beliefs. He has been trying to become a money maker and a true Mormon no matter the society he lives in. (also called the "real world" in my eyes)

If you havent seen it try and catch up you might enjoy it.

Amercan Idol Report

The terror that has become American Idol is scarier than any plot on a blood thirsty thriller. I would like to start with yesterdays group singing version of one of my fav songs of the year:
Jason Mraz- Im yours.

That was the real and only version of his beautiful song. This next video is his terrible AMerican Idol rendition...if you hear hard enough you can hear my heart breaking along with JAson's...

Does anyone else agree?

EMail Funnies

I think imma start a new chapter, i know ive got netflix funnies, funny pics of the month, and now this new one: Email Funnies...but i couldnt help it. Todays actually will count for two though. Funny Pic of the Month and Email Funnies...

REDNECK MANSIONS

Don't Make my Mistakes

Do not make the same mistake I made. If you are looking up a movie in a rush on netflix, stop and take the time to actually get the right one, do not just go by the year of the release because I paid the price, dirty style.

I was looking for that new Alien vs. Predator movie and instead got Alien vs Hunter. Suffice to say that my 8 yr old nephew has officially called me a loser who rents lame movies. I coudlnt even entertain an 8 yr old with this flick. I dont even remember the last time i fell asleep watching a movie before this. It was so poorly made...
Look at the covers, how was I not gonna make the mistake of renting the wrong one?

This looks like the right movie...

But this is the real deal....

Here are some netflix funnies for your enjoyment about Alien vs Hunter:

Mr. Tiddles
I got an early copy of this and man let me tell you how bad it is. The entire purpose of this is to fool you into renting it. The aliens don't even look like they do on the cover. Instead they look like walking creatures from the Tremors series covered in fake slime. The hunters are super lame looking horrible actors trying to pretend they are Predators. The acting is just beyond painful to watch. Nobody can act in this. The special effects are just sad. The entire movie looked to be made for a $300 budget. The worst thing of all is the story which is so lame there's no way you can't keep watching. Seriously the worst movie I have seen. Think Sci-Fi channel movie bad but somehow even worse. Don't fall for the scam and rent this crap like I made the mistake of doing. It's unwatchable.

Tomlet
Wow, another straight to video turdfest to trick the gullible into thinking it has something to do with alien vs. predator. Who makes this crap? Who rents this crap? I did just so I would be qualified to pan it in a customer review (I'm demented that way). Film producers that do this should be tarred and feathered.

JB 18682
Horrible, I had to stop watching it in about 15min. I thought this was going to be, well like a real movie. Low budget, bad acting, and the creatures looked like someone went to party city and rented some lame costumes... BAD

MacHed
Oh dear god....do NOT rent this. This is like your high school A/V club borrowing the video equipment to make a movie over a weekend. Complete with the art department using newspaper strips dipped in paste to make the costumes. I'll have to brush my teeth 5 times to get the taste out of my mouth.

A very angry renter....
TommyC65
What can't you say bad about this one? It has no redeeming values other than my friends and I laughing ourselves sick. Here's the list of bad: continuity issues, writing, acting, effects, sound, scenes, production, editing, soundtrack, and any other thing that can be wrong with movie making. The unbelievable cast is led by former "Greatest American Hero" William Katt, who was just plain awful and looked like he may have just got out of rehab and needed some cash. Michelle Pfeiffer's not quite as skilled little sister Dedee puts her all into her role, I just hope she wasn't counting on this movie rekindling her "career". The rest of the cast is horrid and forgettable, and you don't care when they die. The alien and the "hunter" are so bad , you can't stop laughing at them. We even watched the "special" features- the "making of", which was filmed as poorly as the finished movie; the blooper reel, which you could call the whole film; and finally the Commentary which only 2 line producers showed up for, no director or actor comments. Neither producer had any idea what was going on, and were more psyched when one of their cellphones made it into the picture. Avoid this one at all costs, take my and the other 110 reviews who gave it 1 star at their word, obviously the (one!) guy who gave it 5 stars wants to cruelly make you share in his/her pain. These are the guys who do the "almost" copies of popular flicks like "Transmorphers". Avoid unless you plan to mock.

Church Blues

Oh my goodness, if the stress can get any higher my head will explode. Wedddings suck, i swear...well atleast the planning of it does. I got a call from my church that the chapel my not be ready by November. The thing is, that the church got vandilized and got burned down by these two bored stupid fucking kids, ages 12 and 13. They got really bored one day and decided to burn down the fucking chapel. Nice huh? Now, the church is saying that it could possibly not be ready in time and that we are gonna need a back up church by getting situated somewhere else. Its kind of upsetting because i want this church...its my parents church, my brothers and i got baptized there and its just depressing really. I dont understand what the fuck is going on here.

In better news, im losing more weight everyday and im very happy about that. Work is better. I had a situation but it got fixed... hhahahah eeekkkk....

Today was my fiances bday, he turned 33 and hes more handsome and wiser than ever. I got to get outta my house really early and bought him some balloons to make him feel youthful.

Our credit scores are up and i think by October we will definitely be getting a house to call our own. That will be the 2nd greatest adventure yet.

This past weekend we played guitar hero with my sister n law and her friend. we were like 10 yrs old all over again. It was like that stupid gun game on Nintendo and we had to shoot the ducks excitement....it was price less...

This past weekend i got to see my friends new place with her man n baby. Its a great place to entertain, but in a really bad neighborhood, i am worried, but i hope it works out.
Bad news? her bf told my man that a guy died there, and thats why it was being rented out. And while we sat outside, we heard gub shots, it was scarry....
Worse part, she doesnt know that the guy that sued to live there (literally....) had died there, i wonder when he will tell heR...i worry about that reaction..

Better news!!! 5 de Mayo is my engagement anniversary. Its gonna really be a year since i got asked to marry the man of my dreams.... oh gawd im getting Mc Cheesy....yuck!

P.s.

im in deep love mode...

Wedding Highs

OMG!! I totally forgot to mention the wedding plans that have been going on for the past 4 months. Cause, I only really started in January...you know late January when i finally got work. tee-hee-hee

Anywho, my man and i finally were able to book the hall we are gonna have the reception at. Full blown party time.

Its getting even more real day by day. i KINDA FRIEKED OUT TEE HEE HEE After I bought my wedding dress. I had a mini panich attack due to the fact that what i once knew to really really be my single life is finally coming to a close. Yeah, sure, im totally upside down, ridiculously, retardedly (is that a word? so what, if i made it up) crazily, and madly in love with my bubby but.... these days that are getting closer to the wedding date jsut honestly scare the shit outta me. I ask him if hes feeling thiis way, and he tells me "nope, im ready to officially love you and take care of you for the rest of my life". How can i compete with that? Jesus, we are really getting married...

Anyways, my dress is off the chain gorgeous. I dont have any pics to compare it to to blast here, but then again, i cant take that risk. The only person who has seen my dress is my moms and she helped me pick it. I love it so much. I just hope my weight loss is going to be effective. Ive already lose a few inches from my waist and i can definetly see it in my old clothes. I am waiting to lose another ten pounds before i buy new clothes. After that it should be weight loss heaven. I even went and put on my old dusty bikiny for a lil tanning in the loving sun of Miami. This Sunday is part deux of sun tanning time. I gotta nice for the wedding and fix up some of the tan mess i had from last year.

Theres officially 7 months to the wedding and i will be nervously meeting up with the wedding coordinator for the next few months leading to the wedding, and the photographers, and the flower people and the wedding dress people.

This Saturday i was able to get 4 of the 6 bridesmaids to go to the dress place to try on some dresses. Thats going to be fun and exausting all at the same time.

Brides Maid drama

I always said that I wouldnt surround myself with people who werent real with me or real friends. And with life has taught me, ive learned to get rid of those i dont need. So I had a bridesmaid who wasnt up to par. And on top of that i started thinking that she never wanted to be in the wedding at all. So the signs showed me what was up - that and i ran a few tests just to make sure it wasnt just me being a girl and over sensitive. This fucking chic tried to merry go round me and i caught her at her game.

The first thing i did with everyone i asked was a very honest question: "Do you want to be part of the wedding or would you like to just go to the wedding?" I think thats me being super fucking fair. Right?

I thought I was even being thoughful, because i know that not a lot of people want to pay for the dresses or really spend money to go to this wedding crap. I didnt even want a party/reception i just wanted to get married by church and them buy my house. But my fiance wants the whole shabang, and all of a sudden i find myself 10 grand down the whole with this thing. So yea, its a big fucking deal, when you tell the bride that your gonna be in the wedding.

Anyways, I was nice about it really, especially after their daunting text about, maybe not being able to be in the wedding, to im not gonna be in the weddin anymore. Whatever.

Someone told me at the beginning of this whole wedding planning that i will find out who my true friends really are and i will see who the slackers are. Because the last thing i ever want is to have someone walk my wedding and then never be able to hear from them again. Its disappointing and its just not me. I want to be surrounded by those who love me and my man. And love that we are finally together.

I dont want half ass friends. I dont need that at all. So i simply wont have it. Its fine that everyone has their own shit to do, thats totally understandable but having someone around that doesnt give a shit is a totally different. Being at different points in your life is great, thats what makes up different people, but never contacting someone or ever making an effort to show that you care is different too.

Anyways, i was real cool about it, and i told her no prob, i got someone else to replace you and that i hope they get what they wanted.. as per the text they sent me. I wasnt rude or a bitch as i usually am. And i didnt say my peace really either, because honestly i dont give a shit anymore. If that person doesnt give a shit about me i wont make it known to her that i do. So i left it at that. I deleted her from my myspace, my emails, my cell phone, and my life pretty much. And if she were to read this blog before she finds out - even though she wouldnt because she never calls me anyways or picks up my calls, so there it is...shes outta my life. And if she reads this, she wont care anyways.

The saddest part about this, is that she was the one who got me and my fiance together in the first place, hhahah so sad.
